Kelly first started riding in 1970 in Colorado, mostly trail riding around Colorado Springs. She moved to Florida in 1974 and switched to hunt seat - jumping up to 4 ft courses. She also trained to show 2nd level dressage - but her trainer’s horse developed back problems and that had to be put on hold. In 1990, she purchased UF Klass Act from the University's Horse Teaching Unit - where she had volunteered for the previous three years.
During the early 1990's she trained with well-known Paso Fino breeder and with a top Plantation Shod Tennessee Walker trainer.
Kelly and Klass Act competed in lower level dressage, lots of trail riding, were awarded their colors fox hunting, and passed Parelli Level 2 (the original levels). UF Klass Act is now 31 and still very healthy - although mostly retired. We have raised several foals and cared for mares through difficult pregnancies (including a foundered mare who came to us through the rescue system).
