Lessons

Horsemanship and English riding lessons start at $35 per hour.  Our horse or yours. 

Partial leases available.  Leasee must take at least one lesson a month from one of our approved trainers.

Our lesson horses:

Cash Portfolio.  Cash is a 12 year old Tennessee Walker gelding.  He has been with us since 2003 and has a very laid back personality.  He is great for beginners, yet can still offer a challenge for more advanced riders.



UF Klass Act.  Klassy has been with us since 1989.  She is a 25 year old American Saddlebred mare.  She is still just as sound and willing to move out as she was 20 years ago.  Klassy has been shown in dressage, hunt seat, pleasure, trail, and fox hunted for several seasons.  Kelly also passed her Level 2 of the Parelli system with Klassy several years ago.  Although she is still willing to jump 4 ft coups, we limit her to the occasional 18 inch fence.



Rader Man (Conner).  We are fostering Conner for the Saddlebred Rescue, although he is a registered standardbred.  Conner is great for an intermediate rider.  Although he gets nervous, he takes care of his rider.  He was previously shown in roadster classes both ridden and in harness.  We are working to get him relaxed for a future career in dressage or hunt seat.  Conner has 4 easy gaits:   walk, rack, trot, and canter.  He is available for adoption through the Saddlebred Rescue.



Krafty Kelsea.  Kelsea has been with us since 2004.  She is a great challenge for intermediate to advanced riders.  All the "buttons" are in there, but she has very little patience for an unbalanced or non-thinking rider.



Billy White Shoes Johnson.  Billy came to us in 2004 as a 2 week old colt.  Although he is still green, he has a kind nature and is easy to ride.



Horses not yet started under saddle.  Sam I Yam (American Saddlebred), and Mystery Man (Saddlebred Cross) are all being prepared to start under saddle.  Same is long lining in the saddle and bridle.  Manly is still working in the round pen and longing.  If you are interested in learning how to prepare a horse to be ridden we would be glad to help you.
